Halloween offers ghostly goings-on at city museum

24 October

Explore the gruesome and bloody past of one of Aberdeen's oldest buildings during Halloween weekend [Sunday 30 October] at the Tolbooth Museum, Castle Street.

Join historian Chris Croly for a free tour of one of the best-preserved 17th century gaols in Scotland and meet Graeme Milne, author of Haunted Aberdeen, who will discuss the paranormal activity of the Tolbooth and surrounding area.

Chris Croly, Historian with Aberdeen City Council, said: "The Tolbooth has a fascinating history and this tour will be a great opportunity to learn about its murky past as well as a chance to hear first hand from local ghost expert Graeme Milne. Graeme will talk about supernatural events and associations of the building and the wider Castlegate area."

The tours will be held at 3.30pm-4.30pm and 5pm-6pm. Advance booking is required for the tours by telephoning (01224) 337714.
