Huntly-based arts organisation subject of lunchtime talk

29 October 2012

Artist Claudia Zeiske will discuss her book ARTocracy, Art, Informal Space and Social Consequence at a lunchtime talk at 12.30pm on Wednesday 31 October at Provost Skene's House, Guest Row, off Broad Street, Aberdeen.

The book sums up the 15 years of work of Deveron Arts which is a contemporary arts organisation based in the rural market town of Huntly, in the North east of Scotland.

For Deveron Arts, the town is the venue, and the place for research, the studio, gallery and stage for artists of all disciplines and from all over the world. Engaging local people and community in topics of both local and global concern, Deveron Arts brings together artistic and social relationships in a global network that extends throughout and beyond the geographic boundaries of Huntly.

Advance booking is required for this 30-minute talk by telephoning Provost Skene's House on (01224) 641086.
