Return of concerts is music to the ears

The popular Lunchbreak Concerts series return with a performance of Schubert and Brahms at 1pm tomorrow [Sat 10 Jan] in Aberdeen's Cowdray Hall, Schoolhill.

Cellist Niall Brown and pianist Isabella Trüb will perform Schubert: Arpeggione Sonata. Brahms: Sonata in F Major, during the 45 minute show.

Niall and Isabelle have been a duo since 1989 and appear regularly on concert tours in Europe, Australia and South America. Their extensive repertoire stretches from the baroque period to works of the 21st century.

This concert is an exciting start to the second half of the season with a programme which illustrates the popular Lunchbreak and Rush Hour concerts unique mix of established, professional musicians and newcomers from home and abroad.

Rush Hour Concert
Flutist Margaret Preston and pianist Winnie Foster will perform music and poetry from France by Hahn, Fauré, Debussy, Baudelaire and Verlaine.

Thursday 15 January
12.45pm-1.30pm
Bucksburn Academy Steel Orchestra
Under the direction of Tracy Milne the orchestra will perform a lively programme of traditional and contemporary music.

Admission is free although donations are welcome. A sandwich lunch, provided by the Friends of Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums, can be purchased at Thursday concerts.
