26 May 2015

Have you ever wanted to know more about the Aberdeen Maritime Museum? Well, now is your chance!

A new series of free guided tours to the award-winning attraction will take place on Saturdays and Sundays throughout June.

The tours will give visitors an introduction to the museum which features a superb selection of maritime, history and North Sea oil and gas displays telling the story of the city’s long relationship with the sea.

Aberdeen City Council’s Deputy Leader Marie Boulton said: “We know that visitors from both home and abroad are very keen to learn more about the museum and our collections.

“The museum’s location in the historic Shiprow area also affords visitors spectacular views over the city’s busy harbour.”

Tours start from Saturday, 30 May and run every Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 1.30pm until Sunday, 28 June.

No booking is required but spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
