As Documentation Officer, my role is to help manage the information associated the museum’s collections; from acquisition through to deaccession. The information is held on a collections management system that I develop and manage, as well as supporting users. I also assist staff with processes and procedures relating to collections and developing and maintaining professional standards. In addition, I do other collections management tasks, such as assisting with audits and inventory, caring for the collections and improving storage.
