Formed: What Makes Applied Art
Aberdeen Art Gallery
Until 6 March
The exhibition considers what motivates makers and artists when they create objects and artwork through a featured selection of work from the permanent collections including ceramics, costume, glass, enamelling, jewellery, metalwork and textiles. Objects from various periods are shown, ranging in date from the early 18th century to the present time. A pattern book filled with drawings by William Robb of Ballater (1851-1927) shows how he found inspiration for the silver items he produced.
