The Pleasures of Peace - Mid-century Craft and Art in Britain

Major exhibition tracing the history of crafts and related arts from the 1940s to the early 1970s, featuring textiles, ceramics, stained glass, silverware, jewellery, furniture and calligraphy.

Richard Henry Brunton - The Father of Japanese Lighthouses
By 1876 Scottish born engineer Richard Henry Brunton had established a permanent Japanese Ligthhouse Service and built 30 lights, all modelled on the Northern Lighthouse Service.
