The Sites and Monuments Record contains details, locational information and images relating to known archaeological and historic sites in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen City Council Archaeological Unit can carry out developer-funded excavation and survey work within North-East Scotland.

Archaeological Unit staff organise guided historical walks during the summer season.

An object enquiry service is available through the Art Gallery Shop or Aberdeen Maritime Museum, where items can be handed in for examination by one of our curators.
