Picture Loan Scheme
The Picture Loan Scheme is a programme developed by Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums that gives corporate and private institutions the opportunity to borrow works of art from our Fine Art collection.
To view a selection of the works available through the Picture Loan Scheme select from the categories below;
Figurative
Landscape
Local Scenes
Maritime
Modern and Abstract
Modern Landscapes
Prints
Still Life
Offices, corridors, boardrooms and reception areas can be transformed by borrowing from our large and varied reserve collection of oil paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures. The borrowing institution simply needs to comply with our own environmental requirements following a site visit and abide by the terms of our Conditions of Loan. Please note that we are unable to lend works of art to private homes.
Our loans go out for a minimum of one year and after this period, the loan may be extended or the works on loan changed at the borrower's request.
Our hire fees are very reasonable and Aberdeen Art Gallery will provide curatorial expertise in the selection of works of art, an installation and de-installation service, transport and insurance.
Further information is available from Olga Ferguson, Curator (Fine Art).
Prospective borrowers may apply via this webpage by completing the Application Form and sending it to:
