Walks
Archaeological Unit staff organise guided historical walks during the summer season, sometimes in collaboration with the Council Ranger Service and others. Please see our What's On pages for details.
Public talks are also provided while staff are available on request to talk to local groups on various aspects of local history and archaeology.

Lunchtime Talks
Free Lunchtime talks take place on Wednesdays at Aberdeen Art Gallery, Provost Skene's House, Aberdeen Maritime Museum and at The Tolbooth Museum during the re-opening season take place on a Thursday. End times for lunchtime talks are approximate. Booking is essential for some talks.

Lunchbreak Concerts
Our popular series of Lunchbreak Concerts continues with an exciting programme in the Cowdray Hall under the artistic direction of Roger B. Williams, University of Aberdeen. Concerts run from 12:45pm-1:30pm and admission is free although donations are welcome. Lunchbreak concerts are held on a Thursday of every week.
A sandwich lunch, provided by the friends of Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums, can be purchased on a Thursday only.

Our displays of the permanent collection do change within each venue. Works may also go out on loan so please check in advance if you plan a visit to view a particular work.
