Favourite Museum Object in the Collection
It may seem an obvious choice but my favourite item in the Aberdeen Maritime Museum has to be the huge Murchison Oil Platform model. This detailed, scale model dominates the Museum and spans 3 floors. Every time I stop to study it I find something new! My husband works in the oil and gas industry and this installation along with our other offshore industry displays give me an idea of what he actually does when he goes off to work on 'the rigs!"
