Aberdeen's War

Exhibition

22/03/2014 - 12/01/2015

Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums marks the anniversary of the commencement of the First World War with a major exhibition.

Drawing on the city’s rich collections it explores different aspects of Aberdeen’s involvement with the Great War, one of the most important events of the 20th century. The War changed everything and was a different thing to different people at different times; it was both tragic and great in all senses. Completing the exhibition are creative responses to James McBey’s wartime experience, produced by participants in a project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
