An Early copy of Raphael's Madonna Della Sedia

On loan from a private collection this copy of Raphael’s Madonna della Sedia, of 1513-14 Pitti Palace, Florence once belonged to Annie Cass, 1st Viscountess Cowdray. Alongside Leonardo and Michelangelo, Raphael is considered to be one of the three giants of the Italian Renaissance and his Madonna della Sedia is regarded as one of his greatest works.

On display at Aberdeen Art Gallery.
