This special Tolbooth re-enactment event highlights the fear and terror experienced by the citizens of Aberdeen during the 1715 Jacobite rebellion.

It coincides with an exhibition marking the 300th anniversary of the 1715 Jacobite uprising and its connection to Aberdeen. The exhibition seeks to tell the exciting and dramatic story of what happened in Aberdeen during those tumultuous days through significant objects and documents. On display will be a targe or shield as well as documents, coins and medals from both the government and the Jacobite sides.
