Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This event is for all adults aged 18 years and over.

What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable.

Do I need to form a team before the event?
Yes, please form your teams before arriving at the event. We suggest that ideal team sizes should consist of 2-8 people.

When should we arrive?
Event registration will open at 6.45pm. Activities run between 7pm-9.30pm. Activities operate on a drop-in basis. We recommend arriving between 6.45-7.30pm to make the most of the activities on offer.

How will the quest work?
The aim is to complete the missing information on your team's nativity invite by searching the museum for clues and interacting with living characters. Your team will collect points for each correctly filled in piece of information.

You can ask a character for help, but a clue will cost you! Your team will have 3 points deducted from your total each time you ask for help.

Successfully complete at least 9 of the details on your invitation and you'll have the chance to earn some serious bonus points, which could put you into pole position! We'll be recording each team's start and end times, the faster you complete the quest the more bonus points you earn!

Upon arrival each team will be issued with a game rules card outlining the quest plot and how to play. You can choose to do either the festive fun activities or the quest first. However, please note that in order to manage visitor flow; at busy times we may advise teams to enjoy either the festive fun activities or the quest first.

A time keeper will mark your team answer card with a start time only when you decide to tackle the quest. You must then roam the museum in search of clues and characters. Once you have gathered all of the answers that you need to complete your invitation, hand your answer card into a time keeper at the end point. Your team could be in with a chance of winning the mystery prize.

Please allow at least 30-40 minutes to attempt the quest.

What is the prize for?
The team who earns the most points will win a mystery prize. If more than one team shares the highest point score for the evening, the joint highest scoring teams will be entered into a prize draw, and one winner drawn at random.

Will photography be allowed?
Please be aware that photography will be taking place at the event. We will have a professional photographer documenting the evening. AAG&M reserves the right to use images for the purposes of promotion and advocacy.

Guests are allowed to take photos in the museum, but please refrain from using flash. If you share your images on social media, it would be great if you tagged us. Facebook @ Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums or on Twitter @AbdnArtMuseums
