Aberdeen Treasure Hub

Special Event

06/05/2017 - 06/05/2017

Come to share local memories about times of war and conflict - past and present.

Would you like to share any local tales, photographs, poems, drawings or artefacts relating to war and conflict? If so, bring them along on 6 May and we can record your stories.

We are collecting digitised versions for potential display in the Remembrance Hall adjacent to Aberdeen Art Gallery.

You can also come along and enjoy a range of activities:

• Meet museum staff and handle real objects with a military connection

• Learn how to preserve your historical items

• Join in with a special behind the scenes tour of our new Museum Centre and see where the City’s history and art collections are being stored

• Get creative and craft your own bespoke remembrance poppy or peg doll soldier

• Share a memory via telegram

We kindly ask that no weapons are brought to this sharing event. We would love to hear your stories though and welcome photographs.
