Monday 3 September
Hands-on history: Aberdeen Greats
Discover famous sons and daughters of the Granite City through objects associated with them, including a Bill Gibb drawing, a Donald Dinnie medal, John Brown's hip flask and an Annie Lennox LP.

Monday 10 September
Hands-on history: Walking the Mat
Hold real museum objects and share your own
stories of stepping out along the Granite Mile of Union Street. Objects include opera glasses, a Harlem Globetrotters tour programme and satin dancing shoes.

Monday 17 September
Hands-on history: Maker's Mark
The story of industry and craft in Aberdeen as told through real objects including a sample of grass used in the paper making industry, a Lundie violin and shoemaker's last.

Monday 24 September
Hands-on history: Sickness and Health
Get up close to real museum objects and discover how they help tell the story of our city. This eclectic Treasure Box features a Victorian mourning brooch, an ear trumpet and a prosthetic hand.

Monday 1 October
Talk: The Silver City by the Golden Sands
Beach buses, bathing huts and the Beach Ballroom: what are your memories of Aberdeen beside the sea? Join us for an illustrated talk and discussion exploring the history of Aberdeen Beach.

Monday 8 October
Exhibition tour: View From The Deck
An informal tour exploring the art of Sue Jane Taylor, who has been building an artistic record of Scotland's oil and gas industries for over 30 years. The exhibition also includes 'oil memories', objects on loan from oil and gas workers. We invite you to bring along an object to share with the group that represents something of your own working life.
