A fish slice with a slightly concave blade featuring a cut away edge decorated with pierced and engraved floral and feather work, held with a rectangular mouldnap on a square wedged shaft with a fiddle pattern handle.

Along with the everyday fare of flatware, spoons and forks, Jamieson, a Scottish silversmith, also specialised in making small boxes and goblets.

Purchased in 1981 with assistance from the National Fund for Acquisitions
