Hanoverian pattern handle with pointed oval bowl and round edged stem, engraved with initial ‘M’.
Masking spoons were used for stirring the tea in the pot and unblocking the tea leaves from the spout. This piece illustrates a typical masking spoon form, with a long, narrow stem and pointed finial, shaped to fit up the spout.
