Skene's through the Centuries

Skenes through the centuries

Provost Skene's House

Until 23 February

The top floor of Provost Skene's House has been refurbished with generous funding through the Recognition Scheme, managed by Museums Galleries Scotland. The new displays include the exhibition, Skene's through the Centuries, which looks at the long, rich and fascinating history and archaeology of the House itself and its surrounding area, a townscape that is about to change dramatically once again with the demolition of St Nicholas House. Also on display are commemorative items chosen to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Provost Skene's House and Tearoom will close to the public on Saturday 23 February at 5pm. We expect to be closed for the period of a year to allow for the demolition of neighbouring St. Nicholas House. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

May we take this opportunity to thank you for your custom and look forward to welcoming you back when we re-open.
