Scottish Glass: A Celebration

Display

01/03/2010 - 30/05/2010

Glass has a long history as a decorative material. Its translucence and almost jewel like quality, when coloured or decorated, has fascinated collectors and connoisseurs for centuries.

This display coincides with 2010's celebration of 400 years of glass making in Scotland and includes a delicate wine glass made to commemorate the Jacobite rebellion, creations from Perth's Vasart and Monart factories and innovative art pieces by contemporary makers working in Scotland such as Deborah Fladgate.
