Regimental cap badge of the Gordon Highlanders Regiment. The stag's head is the emblem of Clan Gordon, appearing on all their regimental regalia in some form. The stag is particularly associated with the Scottish Highlands, and often appears in paintings depicting Highland scenery such as the famous 'Monarch of the Glen' by Edwin Lanseer. The clan motto 'Bydand', which means 'Stand Fast', is written underneath the stag's head. It was made in Aberdeen by A & J Smith.

Presented in 1979 by Mrs J Geddes.
